Acne (Pimples)
|
- Acne is one of the most common skin problems especially for teenagers.
It is the result of hormonal imbalance, improper food habits and improper
skin care.
- There are lots of home remedies done to prevent and cure acne. Here are
a few of them :
- Drink lots of water.
Drinking water will prevent most of your skin problems. For a simple
calculation divide your body weight in half and drink at the least that many
ounces of water a day.
Exercise regularly. Some form of aerobic exercise will bring oxygen to
your cells and give you a healthy skin.
Keep your skin always clean by washing with very mild soaps and Lukewarm
water.
When ever you sweat wash off promptly.
Avoid eating chocolate, fried food, and refined sugar.
Do not try to prick and
peel the acne as this can leave permanent marks on the face.
If you have constipation problems treat it immediately. This is one of
the main causes of acne.
Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. At the least 5 servings of
fruits and vegetables should be included in your diet.
Take B-complex and zinc supplements daily to strengthen the skin's
resistance to acne.
Powder orange peel. Mix it with water and apply on affected area.
Mix mint juice with turmeric powder and apply on affected area. Leave
for 15-30 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.
Mix some
vinegar and salt in a bowl. Pour a little bit in your hand and
rub it on the pimples. Soak a face towel in it and dab it on the
bumps. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off.
Blend cucumber and make a paste. Apply this as a mask on your face and
leave it for 1/2 hour and then rinse. This refreshes your skin and prevents
acne.
Mix fresh lemon juice and salt. Wash your face and apply this mixture on
your face. Leave for 10-15 minutes and wash off.
Crush garlic and apply the juice on affected area.
Mix corn flour with egg white and apply on your face. Let is dry
completely for 1/2 hour. Dip your hands in warm water and massage your face
and wash off. This when repeated regularly gives you a smooth skin.
Eat 2-3 cloves of raw garlic everyday.
Clean face with cotton wool dipped in rose water 2-3 times a day.
Mix sandalwood paste with rose water and apply on the face. Rinse off
after 30 minutes.
Mix the paste of tender neem leaves with turmeric and apply of affected
area
Grind some nutmeg with milk and apply on affected area. Pimples
disappear like magic without leaving a mark.
Make a mixture of lime juice and rose water. Apply on face and leave it
for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Oily
Skin

- Apply the pulp of
papaya on your skin like a mask. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then wash
your face with warm water. This removes the greasiness in your skin and
refreshes it.

Take the white of an egg, add 2tbs of cooked oatmeal to
it. Add 2 tsp of lemon juice and 3 tbs of mashed apple to it. Make this into
a smooth paste. Apply as a mask once a week. Leave it on for 30 minutes and
rinse off with warm water. You will see dramatic results.

Take a thick slice of tomato and rub it on your face till the juice
saturates your face. Leave it for 25 minutes till it dries up and then
rinse. Tomatoes are acidic in nature and contain potassium and vitamin c. So
they are excellent for oily skins and help the skin feel cleaner and
tighter, as well as reduce open pores and blackheads.

Red wine is very good for oily skin. The natural fruit acids in red
wine make it a good cleanser. Apply on oily skin with a cotton swab. leave
it on for 5-10 minutes and rinse off.

Steam treating you skin once a week is an ideal and easy way to deep
clean your skin and avoid problems due to oily skin. Steaming opens up pores
and brings dirt and body toxins to the surface.
